Hey Big-Little Fans! With The Fest opening in Grand Rapids a week from today, things are moving right along over here….  So here’s some new info about tickets & workshops! TICKETS! Due to a glitch on our server, the Big-Little website, unfortunately, won’t be fully-updated until tomorrow morning (we hope), however,  tickets to all shows & workshops are now available on The Dog Story Theater website. Pricing is as follows:
Individual Show — $10 ($7/student) - 1-3 acts per timeslot, see schedule for details
Nightly Pass — $18 ($14/student) - access to all shows on a given night
Fest Pass — $50 ($30/student) - access to all 5 nights of shows
Workshops — $10 ($7/student) - 7 available in a wide range of topics
Tickets will also be available at the door.  Box office opens 1 hour before shows.A crude copy of the week’s schedule is attached until the BLCF site is fully-operational. For anybody planning on spending more than one day at The Fest, the Fest Pass is your best bet.  For the price of 5 individual shows, you gain access to 5 days’ worth of comedy featuring 28 acts from across the Midwest.  (Fest Pass does not include access to workshops.)  WORKSHOPS! For anyone interested in workshops, I will be sending a separate email with full details on the workshops we have available.  For now, get excited about this lineup of awesome classes:
Improv Fundamentals w/ Travis Tack (WEDS, 9/14 5:30pm) — Open to improvisers of all levels of experience, this class will take you back to basics, focusing on initiations, characters, and relationships.
The Heat of the Moment w/ Jon RodriQuez (THURS 9/15 5:30pm) — Learn or brush up on your stage combat skills with a real theatre ninja!  Falls, tumbling, hair pulls, choke holds, kicks, & punches included.
Focus on Relationships w/ Tina Jackson & Dan Grimm (FRI 9/16 5:30pm) — Deepen your relationship with your scene partner by immediately being able to identify the behavior of your relationship at the top of the scene.
Faster/Funnier w/ Jason Geis (SAT 9/17 1:00pm) — Get out of your head and bring a shortform perspective back to your longform with better edits and by getting to the meat of the scene faster.
Comedic Song Writing w/ The Shock T’s (SAT 9/17 3:00pm) — Write with confidence once you know that song-writing really isn’t that difficult.  Covers basic music theory, lyrics, and presentation. 
Improv Weight Room w/ Peter Robards (SUN 9/18 1:00pm) — Discover some of your improv habits and find ways to expand beyond them. This workshop is designed to snap you out of your improv comfort zone.
Longform Characters w/ Hailey Zureich (SUN 9/18 3:00pm) — Get more comfortable in your characters by extending the longevity of who you are.  Focuses on character development and longform scenework.
