Chicago actor/improviser Warren Phynix Johnson has been chronicling his life in entertainment and in general for the past 2 years or so. We’ve decided to re-chronicle the most interesting of said chronicles.

from variety.com

“30 Rock” scribe Kay Cannon () has signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television.

Cannon at present is a supervising producer on “30 Rock” and a part-time actress. She’s been on staff of the NBC Thursday comedy since its inception in 2006 and was pursued for a development pact by several shops.

“We are very excited to get this deal closed,” said 20th chairman Gary Newman. “We have been tracking her and people in the industry know she is an important voice on ‘30 Rock.’ We’re always looking for distinct voices and we’re anx-ious to develop projects with her.”

The studio’s tentative plan is for Cannon to move to the writing staff of Fox’s “New Girl,” where she will work with creator/exec producer Liz Meriwether on the Zooey Deschanel comedy. While on “New Girl,” Cannon will concurrently begin to conceptualize her own show.
