Ben finds a wallet. Jimmy and Trevor do their best to advise him. It’s only two minutes long.
“Skirmishes” is not just a Web series Chicagoans can watch, they can participate in it, too. Ed Toolis, the writer and producer of the series says, “It’s all about people having the most fun they can have, with the opposite sex, with their clothes on.”
The series starts out with three average ordinary women, who say, “We have turned ourselves into the most intelligent, capable, exciting and sexy women the world has ever known, so why aren’t we happy?” And of course, the answer is “Men.” Then the series goes on to ways women would love to change things.
The purpose of the Single’s Scene is to get female friends talking about how to design the Women’s Search Engine and the Ex-Girlfriend database, so never again will any single woman have to call her girlfriends, in the middle of the night, sobbing about yet another year of her life wasted on some jerk.
The Ultimate Female Conspiracy is guaranteed to spice up a dull day at work, and get the link passed on to everyone’s work friends, relatives and family.
MMO gives suggestions on how married women can “insure” they’ll live happily ever after, once they get married, and asks women worldwide for suggestions.
And the videos go on to The Vets, or how men lost the Sexual Revolution, how corporate men are struggling with what’s wrong with the Male Brand, the conspiracy by college women to make all men get a minor in relationships, a class-action law suit against all men, a romance novel night class and a bit where women want to change men genetically.
“Skirmishes” does have a serious point to make. In the post-feminist era, we really should be talking about what the work of relationships is supposed to be. And the series’ answer is that we need to come up with thousands of fun and heartfelt scenes, that we’d all want to star in, in our own love lives. And the series is an attempt to get that effort going.
The cast includes Holly Prindle, Joy Valdez, Kristi McKay, Greg Worsley, Cody Gough and Jacob Welch.
“Skirmishes” is now playing everywhere at any time, on your smart phone, tablet or computer, with no parking hassles, at http://skirmishes.us,
Hello!
From a fellow Chicago comedian… I made a comedy video I hope you’ll like- and maybe consider posting.
Tomorrow’s Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. We have a video called “Jesus, Lord and Thriller”- a thriller Parody with a Jesus twist. Not offensive, just clever.
